HISTORY OF THE AGENCY
DESTINATION SAS was founded in 1991 by Gilbert Hadey, a formal cultural attaché of the United States embassy in Strasbourg. Originally specializing in tailor-made travel to the United States and Canada, the agency acquired a great reputation in Alsace.
Over the years, Destination SAS has developed a recognized and very professional Incoming department that can today boast a solid experience and an excellent knowledge of Strasbourg and the Alsace region. Our team, with widely recognized skills, consists of 7 employees whose local knowledge, creativity and professionalism will make your event a great success.
In 2009, following the retirement of Gilbert Hadey, the company was taken over by the German entrepreneur Ulrike Leibrecht. The agency then settled at the Château de Pourtalès, in the neighborhood of La Robertsau, a prestigious place from the eighteenth century, owned by the Leibrecht family since 1972.
With the arrival of our team at the Château de Pourtalès, the Château took off to a new and exiting start.
The opening of a 28-room hotel and the conversion of part of the gardens into an outdoor-park that offers the possibility of organizing team-trainings and incentives, have been the perfect opportunity for our experienced team to develop unique events around the castle and its history.
To complement our services, we are working for many years in close cooperation with professional trainers that provide an innovative approach for seminars and team-development activities in Strasbourg and the Alsace region.
