An informal way to clarify complex situations and to express ideas in an efficient manner

Did you know that the Château de Pourtalès was part of a Sherlock Holmes comic (Retrouvailles à Strasbourg)? How about creating your own comic story at the Château?

Onomatopoeia, ellipse or appendix will soon be common terms for you.

To start, the participants will brainstorm and discuss a detailed storyboard. The next step will take place at the photo booth. Creativity and collaboration will be essential to turn your ideas into photographs. A great variety of props and accessories will be provided. Everything is allowed but they will need to make sure to give the right instructions to the photographer.

Equipped with the storyboard and the selected photos, each team will now work on the actual design together with a pro. They will have to instruct the editor where word balloons should be placed to show dialogues, which frames and borders they want to use, and which captions and cliparts should be used to explain things the images can't show. The time for completion is limited and the participants need to follow the common code of French-Belgian comics.
